Get creative and jump-start your "idea factory" so you never run out of things to write about. This workshop includes in-class writing and idea-hunting. Betty Webb, Writer in Residence and your guide through this class, is an ex-journalist and author of 17 novels, so she knows what it's like to scramble for ideas.
Betty Webb is the author of the nationally best-selling Lena Jones mystery series and the humorous Gunn Zoo mysteries. Before beginning to write full time, Betty worked as a journalist, interviewing U.S. presidents, astronauts who walked on the moon, Nobel Prize winners, polygamy runaways, and more. She has taught creative writing classes and workshops at Arizona State University and Phoenix College and has been a nationally-syndicated literary critic for thirty years. In addition to other organizations, Betty is a member of the National Federation of Press Women, Mystery Writers of America, and Sisters in Crime.

This program is supported by the Arizona State Library, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
