Help us celebrate the Grand Opening of our new Monarch Haven and Reading Sanctuary.  Councilmember David Luna will welcome everyone to the space and there will be opportunities to win some great raffle prizes.  Younger children can enjoy a storytime in the garden while older children create butterfly crafts.  

Find information booths with plant and butterfly experts from Southwest Monarch Study, Desert Botanical Garden, Watershed Management Group, and UofA Master Gardener program.

 

Program Agenda

10 am: Welcome to the Monarch Haven- Library Director Heather Wolf and Donna Difrancesco, Energy and Water Conservation Coordinator

10:15 am: Thanks, Dedication and Ribbon Cutting-  Mayor John Giles and Councilmember David Luna 

10:30 am:  Storytime in the Garden for ages birth to 5 years, crafting begins for older children

11 am:  Raffle starts, must be present to win
