Open the door to an exciting form of communication that’s fun, social, educational, and is a lifeline during times of need. Learn all you need to know to earn your FCC Technician Class License, the entry-level license for ham radio operators. This 10-part course prepares you to take your exam of 35 questions on radio theory, regulations and operating practices. The license grants you the privilege to communicate in North America, plus limited international and HF (“short wave”) privileges. The course meets Thursday evenings (October 6th through December 15th, with a break November 24th) and is taught by the Sunlife Amateur Radio Club. The final class is your proctored exam at no charge. Class is limited to 10 participants, any age as long as they can master technical concepts. All study materials are provided.

Registration for October 6th sessions enrolls you for all 10 sessions. Please make sure you are available for all dates, Oct. 6 - Dec. 15, excluding Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving).
