We have all been told not to judge a book by its cover, but since the cover is what draws readers in, it is one of the most important elements of your book. In this class, we will create mock-ups for your cover and discuss the necessary aspects of creating an attractive, marketable, and modern cover.

Yolie Hernandez is the founder and owner of AZ Book Designer. Yolie has over fifteen years of experience in the publishing industry. In 2007 she was awarded a fellowship to attend the Stanford University Publishing Courses for Professionals. Since then, she has expanded her experience to the design of e-books and is an expert cover and book block designer. She is also the production director for the Hispanic Institute of Social Issues, where she oversees the production of their books, from editing to design to print. It is Yolie’s desire to empower current and future writers with self-publishing knowledge that will enable them to create and publish their own works.
