Help us put the finishing touches on this exciting project. The Monarch Haven & Reading Sanctuary is a new outdoor space not only for monarchs and other butterflies, but for our surrounding community as a contemplative place to read, learn, and enjoy nature. Volunteer participants will help to put plants in the ground, complete rock work (for armoring against erosion, for water capturing ,and for a labyrinth design) for light pruning, and other finishing touches. Participants should wear appropriate clothing, hats, shoes, and bring their own gloves.
The completed planting will provide a demonstration of desert plants that help attract butterflies and other pollinators.
