Who Picked This Book? Group

March's book is Pachinko by Min Jin Lee.  Pachinko follows one exiled Korean family caught in an indifferent arc of history through the generations, beginning in the early 1900s.  Sunja, the prized daughter of a poor yet proud family, has an unplanned pregnancy which threatens to shame them all. Deserted by her lover, she is saved when a young minister offers to marry and bring her to Japan.

This group meets to discuss thought-provoking fiction and nonfiction on the 2nd Monday of the month. All are welcome.
