Family SPOT Resource Center presents “Play on the Go.” Join us for fun, hands-on activities for infants, toddlers and their caregivers.

During this class, you will learn how to use our sewing machine. When the class is over, you can sign a waiver and begin self-reserving the sewing machine. If under 18, a parent or guardian must be present to sign the waiver.

Using an Android tablet, Kindle Fire, or smartphone, discover how to change settings, move icons, put your machine to sleep or turn it off, and connect to Wifi.

From June to August, Mesa Public Library is hosting Marylee MacDonald as its Writer in Residence. Marylee will use the library as her public workspace and hold one-on-one consultation hours to help aspiring authors fine-tune their work.

Author Randy Lindsay will discuss the 10 most important rules of writing as well as the 10 most overrated rules of the craft and then compare the two lists. His books will be available for sale and signing after the presentation.

Evangeline Brown Colbert is our Local Author for the month of August. She is a speaker, Hope Coach and worked as an electrical engineer for several years before becoming an author.

On August 21st the Solar Eclipse is coming. Here in Arizona, we will see a 70% partial eclipse. The partial phases, while exciting to experience, can be dangerous, if you do not know how to enjoy this event in comfort and safety.
