Author Presents: The Risk of Sorrow

In honor of this year’s International Yom Hashoah, also known as Holocaust Memorial Day, come hear the extraordinary story of the profound friendship between two women of different religions, generations and cultures: an Irish-Catholic teacher and the Auschwitz survivor whose story of survival, faith, and love are more relevant today than ever. Author Valerie Foster will be speaking and signing copies of The Risk of Sorrow. Valerie Foster is an educator, a recipient of the Shofar Zakhor award for Holocaust Education, and author of The Risk of Sorrow: Conversations with Holocaust Survivor, Helen Handler.
