Join author Austin Davis for a poetry reading from his books The World Isn’t the Size of Our Neighborhood Anymore, Celestial Night Light, Street Sorrows, and a forthcoming title. Davis will also discuss his recently released album called Street Sorrows. Street Sorrows is the new jazz-poetry album about homelessness from Austin Davis & Joe Allie. The poems spoken on this record were written over the last year and a half by Austin as he ran the homeless outreach program, AZ Hugs For the Houseless. Each song is about specific people Austin has met on the streets, and specific experiences they’ve had together.
Following his reading, there will be time for a Q&A.
