DESCRIPTION:The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free
  tax help to people who generally make $67,000 or less, persons with disab
 ilities, the elderly, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assi
 stance in preparing their own tax returns.IRS-certified volunteers will pr
 ovide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to q
 ualified individuals. Preparers are provided to the library by Mesa United
  Way.New this year: Appointments are available between 10 am and 12 pm.

  to select a date and time.  If you need assistance booking an appointmen
 t online, please call VITA at 480-834-2122 and an agent will assist you.Â
  Â No walk-in appointments will be available between 10 am and 12 pm.  Yo
 u must schedule an appointment to be seen in this timeframe.  Walk-in se
 rvices will be available to people between 12 pm and 2:30 pm.  Clients w
 ill be seen in a first come, first served order during this time. VITA Se
 rvices at Red Mountain Library will conclude on Friday, April 11, 2025.
