Event Details

Phoenix Art Museum is one of the largest museums in the Southwest with over 20,000 works of art in its collection. The curators rotate artworks regularly so that 500-600 pieces are on view at any one time and are placed in the galleries where the artworks can ‘talk’ to each other. Imagine what these artworks might say. Join five Phoenix Art Museum Docents for a conversation about art that is relevant today. Journey through the galleries looking at artworks from all parts of the collection, from one of our newest acquisitions by Frederick Brown to visitor favorites like Louisa McElwain’s Desert Rain God, discovering stories that link works across space and time.

This is a virtual event provided by Maricopa County Library as part of the Summer Reading Program. The stream is available from 6-1-21 to 6-7-21.
