Program Description

Event Details

In this workshop, participants will learn how to create and utilize Corsi-Rosenthal (C-R) boxes—simple and effective DIY air purifiers designed to improve indoor air quality. This practical session is ideal for those looking to enhance the health and safety of their homes and classrooms. Join us for an engaging and hands-on workshop presented by Tanya Palit, Research Project Manager at Arizona State University. There are only 10 spots available for this program, so spots will be going fast.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Introduction to Corsi-Rosenthal Boxes: Understand the concept and benefits of Corsi-Rosenthal boxes and their role in improving air quality.
  • Hands-On Construction: Step-by-step guidance on building your own Corsi-Rosenthal box using provided materials.
  • Implementation Strategies: Learn effective ways to incorporate Corsi-Rosenthal boxes into your work environments to promote healthier indoor air.
  • Collaborative Exercises: Participate in group activities to brainstorm and share ideas on maximizing the impact of Corsi-Rosenthal boxes in your specific work setting.

This program supports the City of Mesa’s Climate Action Plan (MCAP), a Mayor and Council priority initiative to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, build resilience in our community, and address the negative outcomes of a changing climate.
