Event Details

Come join the second Inter-City Puzzle Tournament! Mesa Public Library, Chandler Public Library, Tempe Public Library and now, Scottsdale Public Library (Civic Center branch) will compete to see what city has the fastest puzzlers!

You’ll have a set time to complete the same 500-piece puzzle, and the top team from each branch will move on to the final round at the Main Branch Mesa Public Library (64 E 1st Street, Mesa, AZ 85201) on Saturday, February 7th from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

Tournament Rules:

  • Form a team of two and register your team captain online at your preferred branch.
  • There are limited slots, so only register one name per team. Your captain will be the main contact for the event.
  • You can only register for one spot at any branch.
  • You can only register at one library system.
  • All teams will be given the same 500-piece puzzle and have 90 minutes to complete it. The team that finishes first wins.
  • If no team finishes, the winner will be the one with the fewest pieces left. In case of a tie, teams will get an extra five minutes to continue.
  • The top team from each branch will advance to the final round at the Main Branch Mesa Public Library.
  • No sorting tools outside of the puzzle box you will be given will be allowed.
  • Participants must be 12 years or older. There must be one adult on the team.

  • Gateway Library: January 29, 5:45-7:30 PM
  • Dobson Ranch Library: January 31, 2:15-4:00 PM
  • Red Mountain Library: February 4, 5:45-7:30 PM
  • Main Library: February 5, 5:45-7:30 PM
