Event Details

Story School is a bilingual, two-generation program where children and parents learn together twice a week for 11 sessions. Children are immersed in books and literacy activities that foster their development of literacy, language, and social-emotional skills as well as positive approaches to learning they need to thrive in school and beyond. Parents/caregivers gain skills and tools to support their children’s early development.  Participating families receive two books at each session to add to their child's library.

Story School es un programa bilingüe de dos generaciones donde los niños y los padres aprenden juntos dos veces por semana durante 11 sesiones. Los niños están inmersos en libros y actividades de alfabetización que fomentan el desarrollo de la alfabetización, el lenguaje y las habilidades socioemocionales, así como enfoques positivos del aprendizaje que necesitan para prosperar en la escuela y más allá. Los padres/cuidadores adquieren habilidades y herramientas para apoyar el desarrollo temprano de sus hijos. Las familias participantes reciben dos libros en cada sesión para agregar a la biblioteca de sus hijos.
