Event Details

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $64,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.

IRS-certified volunteers will provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. Preparers are provided to the library by Mesa United Way.

New this year: 

Appointments are available between 10 am and 12 pm.  To schedule an appointment, please visit https://rmlib-vita.bookafy.com/ to select a date and time.  If you need assistance booking an appointment online, please call VITA at 480-834-2122 and an agent will assist you.  No walk-in appointments will be available between 10 am and 12 pm.  You must schedule an appointment to be seen in this timeframe.  

Walk-in services will be available to people between 12 pm and 2:30 pm.  Clients will be seen in a first come, first served order during this time. 

VITA services will close on Friday, March 29, 2024 in observance of Good Friday.  VITA Services at Red Mountain Library will conclude on Friday, April 12, 2024.
