From June to August, the Mesa Public Library is hosting short story and fiction writer Marylee MacDonald as its Writer in Residence.

Uncover the mystery behind this commonly misunderstood benefit. We will discover what is in it for you, the lender, and our government while exploring the various uses for it.

Come try early literacy apps on the library's iPads. For children ages 3-5 and their parents and caregivers. Space is limited, a ticket is required for each child using an iPad.

Kinder Prep Pre-literacy workshop is an adult/child, interactive 3-part series for parents or caregivers with children ages three to five years old.

Dogs like books too! Paws 2 Read pairs registered therapy animals and their handlers with young readers ranging from first to tenth grades.

Get involved, be part of the process, be a decision maker. Contribute, plan, listen, be-friend, and have fun. Join the Teen Advisory Board and assist with shaping library programs and services for young adults.

Hang out weekly with fellow crafters. Bring whatever you're working on and share or even teach it to others. Craft ideas and supplies will be provided but feel free to bring your own. For ages 12-17.

Learn all of the parts of a web browser and learn how to navigate a website. Learn how to effectively search for information online. Prerequisites: Computer Basics (at a minimum) or comfort with mouse and keyboard.
