Event Details

You are invited to join Mayor John Giles for the grand opening of our new Children's Library! Arizona's amazing animals were the inspiration for this bright, inviting space inside the Main Library. Visit us during opening week (July 26-31) and choose an animal-themed gift (while supplies last).

Grand opening events:
Monday, July 26 at 10am

  • Dedication and ribbon cutting with Mayor Giles and Vice Mayor Duff
  • Desert themed Take and Make crafts for all ages
  • Raffles
  • Donation collection for Liberty Wildlife
  • Special guests:
    • Arizona Game and Fish
    • Muralist Koryn Woodward Wasson
    • Muralist Thomas “Breeze” Marcus
