The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $67,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.

IRS-certified volunteers will provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. Preparers are provided to the library by Mesa United Way.

New this year: 

Appointments are available between 10 am and 12 pm.  To schedule an appointment, please visit https://rmlib-vita.bookafy.com/ to select a date and time.  If you need assistance booking an appointment online, please call VITA at 480-834-2122 and an agent will assist you.  No walk-in appointments will be available between 10 am and 12 pm.  You must schedule an appointment to be seen in this timeframe.  

Walk-in services will be available to people between 12 pm and 2:30 pm.  Clients will be seen in a first come, first served order during this time. 

VITA Services at Red Mountain Library will conclude on Friday, April 11, 2025.
