From May through July, the Mesa Public Library is hosting author and writing coach Randy Lindsay as its very own Writer in Residence. Randy will use the library as his workspace and hold one-on-one consultation hours to help aspiring authors fine-tune their work. Consultations may be held by phone, email, or Zoom, as arranged with Randy.  To book your appointment, visit our sign-up form.

Randy is the best-selling author of The Milkman's Son:  A Memoir of Family History, A DNA Mystery, A Story of Paternal Love.  He has also written: a middle-grade fantasy series (The Battlementals); apocalyptic fiction (The Gathering trilogy); and The Easy-Peasy Method for Writing Memoirs and Family Stories.

He is a past president of the American Night Writers Association; has co-hosted a podcast (So You Think You Can Write) and an annual all-day writers workshop (Ready, Set, Write) with other authors; and is a regular visitor to several local writers' groups, where he is happy to help new authors hone their craft.

This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
