Mesa Public Library is excited to partner with the Arizona State Library and welcome Sharon Skinner as our Writer in Residence from September through December.
Sharon Skinner is an Author, Certified Book Coach, and Freelance Editor, who helps writers weave their words into stories that shine. She edits and coaches fiction, memoir, and non-fiction.
She writes speculative fiction for all ages, particularly fantasy, science fiction, paranormal and steampunk. She has published nine novels, two short story and poetry collections, two picture books, and other assorted writings. Her latest novel is Lostuns Found, a MG Steampunk adventure, and her most recent collection, Blood From a Rose, is dark fantasy and light horror with a touch of humor.
During her time as the Writer in Residence, she will offer writing consultations to help aspiring authors fine-tune their work at Main Branch Library. There is a limit of 1 signup per week and 2 per month. Signup for October is fully booked.
This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
